The Sognefjord is 204 kms. long and is up to 1308 metres deep. We sailed to the village of Flam on a tributary of the Songefjord. Flam is 160 kms. from open water. These pictures were taken during the last 4 hours (5 a.m. to 9 a.m.) before reaching Flam - we had entered the Songefjord about midnight. By 5 a.m. the sun had been up for about an hour and a half. This is a small sampling of the photos taken of this magnificent waterway. The date was July 8 in case you wonder about the snow.
